This Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge fieldtrip includes a nature walk through the forest to identify signs of active wildlife and signs of seasonal change. Photographs are encouraged, a digital camera may be available for loan. An activity on animal adaptations will explore trumpeter swans, beaver, wolf, and frogs. An educational video in large screen theater may be available. The visitor center includes hands-on exhibits of the species and habitat native to the area, including a replica beaver and lodge for close up viewing. For grade 3.
