Description:

As one of the nation's leading public media organizations, tpt uses television, interactive media, and community engagement to advance education, culture and citizenship. Over its 50-plus year history, tpt has been recognized for its innovation and creativity with numerous awards, including Peabody awards and national and regional Emmys.

Based in St. Paul, Minnesota, tpt is one of the highest rated PBS affiliates in the nation, reaching over 1.3 million people each month through multiple broadcast and online channels.

The organization's particular areas of focus include: the educational readiness of children; serving the needs and unleashing the potential of America's aging population; engaging a new generation in the power of public media; and being the preferred media partner for organizations that align with our mission to enrich lives and strengthen community.

Resources for Educators
tpt's Educators web page offers classroom materials for a wide range of subjects and grade levels including PBS extensive collection of lesson plans, teaching activities, on-demand video assets, and interactive games and simulations. We're dedicated to providing multimedia resources that transform teaching and learning. In addition, we offer a both a Kids page and Parents page with videos, information and tools that will help with both teaching and parenting.

Free Tours:
The first Saturday of the months November through April from 10 am to noon. Last tour starts at 11:30. Tours usually last a half an hour. No need to RSVP just please arrive at 10 am. Contact customer service at (651) 229-1330 for more information.
