The Waste Management Authority and the Source Reduction and Recycling Board is pleased to make available this report on Environmental Education in Alameda County. The purpose of the report was to provide the Source Reduction and Recycling Board with qualitative research on opportunities for strengthening environmental education in K-12 schools in Alameda County. We share the report findings in the hope that they can provide others with an understanding of the need to link environmental education outcomes with student academic achievement and offer ideas for building environmental education capacity.
