Can the wind and sun produce enough energy to power your school?
Using The Windy Classroom and A Sun Powered Classroom curricula with the contents of the accompanying kit, students discover first hand the fundamentals of renewable energy. Each section of the curriculum is full of information, hands-on discovery activities and discussion questions geared to engage students along the way. Aligned with the Environmental Systems MN graduation standard, the curriculum uses a multi-disciplinary approach to learning.
The learning kit includes complete curriculum materials, teaching resources (books, video, CD-Rom), supplies for student learning projects and either wind or solar data collection tools. Kits are availble on loan.
Training workshops are held annually at the Laurentian Environmental Center.
