Project Get Outdoors (GO), Inc. is a non-profit organization working to implement FREE after-school and out-of-school programs to connect MN children in grades K-8 to nature and outdoor recreation.
The mission of Project GO is to facilitate outdoor experiences that develop healthy kids and increase environmental stewardship behaviors.
Project GO toolkits are available for free to interested communities in SE MN. Project GO staff will work with each interested community to complete the steps of the toolkit and to assemble a local planning committee to oversee each local program. Working with area public green spaces such as parks, trails, refuges and forests and incorporating the skills and interests of local outdoors men and women, Project GO is helping MN children learn to feel comfortable outdoors and to appreciate our natural world while introducing them to outdoor recreation activities that may develop into lifelong hobbies.
