National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) Grants
Post Date: September 11, 2019
Resource Type:
  • Grant | Funding
Description:

The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation provides funding on a competitive basis to projects that sustain, restore, and enhance our nation's fish, wildlife, and plants and their habitats.

Each of NFWF's initiatives has a business plan developed by scientists and other experts and approved by our Board of Directors. Grants are available to support the actions identified in the business plan. Additional grant programs support diverse projects for wildlife and habitat conservation across the country.

Some examples of the grant opportunities offered by NFWF in partnership with various organizations are as follows:

  • America's Great Outdoors: a national plan to create and enhance urban parks and greenspaces, renew and restore rivers, and conserve large rural landscapes.
  • Bring Back the Natives/More Fish: supports conservation activities that restore, protect and enhance native populations of sensitive or listed fish species across the U.S.
  • Environmental Solutions for Communities: a partnership between Wells Fargo and NFWF, helps communities throughout the U.S. create a more sustainable future through responsible environmental stewardship.
  • Sustain Our Great Lakes Program:
  • a public-private partnership to improve the ecological health of the Great Lakes basin.

Since NFWF offers a wide array of funding resources, the application process and deadline is dependent on the grant.
