Description:

The Mercury in Schools web site provides information on mercury sources, health advisories and reduction programs. The Mercury in Schools curriculum package was last revised and expanded in 2003 to provide a national focus on the mercury issue. It includes information and activities on health issues, cultural uses, mercury in schools, mercury at home, mercury in the community, environmental impacts and the history of mercury use.

Please Note: The information provided on this website was last revised in 2003. This information serves as a historical perspective on mercury awareness and mercury poisioning prevention.

The Mercury Curriculum is free and is offered in several formats including pdf, html, and zipped pdf. There is also a Mercury in Schools Overview powerpoint presentation prepared by Mercury in Schools Team available for teachers to use. To access, click on the link provided below.
