Fresh Energy, formerly Minnesotans for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ME3), is a nonprofit organization leading the transition to a clean energy system by harnessing research, advocacy and community engagement.
About Fresh Energy: Fresh Energy works for a future where energy production and transportation stimulate local economies and create clean energy jobs. One where pollution is a thing of the past, where the energy we need doesn't harm the people we love. And one that reflects Midwesterners' love and respect for environment and communities.
We work in the realm of public policy, changing the rules that govern our energy system. Our efforts focus on energy efficiency, clean energy, transportation and land use, and carbon reduction. We're successful because we've got the necessary expertise, strong alliances, and the support of thoughtful, engaged people like you.
What does Fresh Energy do? For more than 20 years, Fresh Energy has been working to transform economic and environmental ideas into a smart energy policy. Currently, Fresh Energy has six key project areas:
retiring coal plants,
reducing carbon pollution,
improving our transportation and the built environment,
expanding transmission for renewable energy,
and increasing clean energy and energy efficiency.
