Description:

Explains how trees act as "nature's air conditioners" and why trees are at risk in some areas. Describes how fire changes the forest environment, for better and for worse. Tells about the wide variety of products we obtain from trees, from paper to Ping-Pong balls. Explains how we can protect our trees to keep our forests forever. For teenagers enrolled in the 4-H Advanced Forest Resources project or for younger children who have worked with the Beginner and Intermediate project manuals "Treetop" and "Trees + Me = Forestry."
