Brochure describes environmental hazards to human health, and state government programs to protect the citizens of Minnesota. Tells about the public health role of the Minnesota Department of Health, Environmental Health Division programs. MDH' EH program protects drinking water, assures safe food and water, strives for cleaner indoor air, minimizes exposure from x-ray and nuclear sources, safeguards the public against lead poisoning, prevents exposure from asbestos, assesses health risks related to hazardous waste sites, advises anglers about eating Minnesota sport fish, and conducts research to assess environmental hazards to Minnesota communities. This brochure can be used as an educational tool for anyone wanting to know the spectrum of services in place to safeguard HUMAN COMMUNITIES in the spectrum of environmental protection.
