Description:

Earth Gauge Kids is a website designed for fifth through eighth grade students that focuses on a different weather-environment theme each month. Weather is part of the environment and influences it in many ways. Here are some examples:

  • Birds migrating south before winter begins;
  • Wildfires burning during dry weather and drought;
  • Water cycling from the ocean to the air to the ground;
  • Kids and their families enjoying the outdoors and staying safe from severe weather, like tornadoes and hurricanes!
  • Kids will find an interactive quiz, activity ideas, fun facts and links to "cool tools" and online games related to water.

    You can help to protect the environment and keep yourself and your family safe from weather and environmental hazards. Every month, you'll see a new theme with a new quiz and activities you can try at home or school.
