Description:

Our program enables people to develop a closer relationship to the earth and gives a better understanding of the principles of ecology, natural history, responsible stewardship and outdoor skills through creative learning activities. The Center is located near a variety of habitats, including lake, pond, marsh, virgin Maple Basswood forest and restored native prairie. A typical day involves hands-on outdoor classes, large group activities, meals and recreation. Through pre-trip planning, lessons are selected to enhance your curriculum goals.

Some of the "favorite" classes we offer throughout the year include: Tree ID, Maple Syruping, Paper Making, Pond Study, Deadly Links, Turtle Hurdles, Wildlife Signs, Tracking, Canoeing, Snowshoeing, X-Country Skiing, Survival , Orienteering, Astronomy, Alpha Wolf and the Challenge Course. We are also willing to come to your school to give presentations on selected topics and/or animal demonstrations.
