Artscraps is a non-profit materials reuse store. Donations of scrap material are sold to teachers, students and artists at a low cost. Environmental and Arts programming use the materials to educate the public about issues of reuse.

ArtStart is an award-winning, non-profit arts organization dedicated to providing quality arts education for children and adults. Since its inception ArtStart has initiated a number of innovative programs and projects that focus on the link between the arts and the environment. These programs include the ArtScraps Creative Materials Reuse Store, Eco-Journeys Art Residency and Summer Programs, and the community-based ScrapMobile program.

Founded in 1988, ArtStart presents a multicultural, interdisciplinary view of the world through art classes and special programs focusing on the connection between humans and their environment.

ArtStart draws on a pool of artists and arts educators who focus on process as well as product. These artist/educators emphasize critical thinking, problem solving, esteem building and citizenship along with learning in and through the arts.
