This historical video examines the impact of solid and hazardous waste on our natural resources and what is being done to address it. In the early 80's, the Waste Management Board developed policies on preferred methods for disposal and treatment of wastes, markets for recyclable materials and public education campaigns. This video also highlights examples of resource recovery through waste reduction, recycling, composting and incineration.
