Event Date 2021-03-20
Time: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Description

Lead and motivate others in habitat restoration with Great River Greening - Become a Volunteer Supervisor!

Volunteer Supervisors lead small groups of 5-20 volunteers at hands-on ecological restoration events. Activities often include: planting flowers, trees, and shrubs, as well as invasive and exotic plant control.

We are seeking individuals with excellent communication skills and the ability to work harmoniously alongside folks of all ages and backgrounds. Please note: scientific or natural resources knowledge is beneficial, but not necessary! All training and resources are provided. Gain new skills and restore natural spaces in Minnesota.

Join the ranks of our dedicated Volunteer Supervisor team as we grow our work in southern Minnesota. Volunteer Supervisors will gain beneficial leadership and restoration skills and are expected to assist at one (or more!) 3-4 hour restoration events during the spring and fall each year.

RSVP to Amy at akilgore@greatrivergreening.org to sign up for the required training session - hosted on Zoom, as well as a field day with GRG staff to learn more and assist with a unique snow-seeding the following weekend (Saturday, March 27) at Sunktokeca Creek WMA located just NW of Faribault.
