Description:	The St. Croix Environmental Center is a YMCA facility designed to promote and develop environmental awareness and responsibility through academic, social, community and outdoor educational experiences. St. Croix offers high quality 3 day/2 night residential experiences which are designed to complement and enhance present school curricula. Located along the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway, St. Croix offers over 30 academic class choices for grades K-12. All classes are taught by our professional Environmental Education Instructors at a ratio of 1:12. Key environmental concepts are investigated and experienced within our 400-acre outdoor classroom, and positive social communities are generated through small study group sizes, group team-building and cozy cabins along the river bluffs. Our curriculum includes: forest ecology, prairies, aquatic ecology, St. Croix River geology and history, cultural history, survival, orienteering, team building, high ropes course, environmental issues, etc.
