Description:

Launched in 2006, WaterSense is a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency partnership program that seeks to protect the future of our nation's water supply by promoting water efficiency and enhancing the market for water-efficient products, programs and practices.

WaterSense Educational Materials help teachers communicate the importance of water conservation through two sets of resources: Fix A Leak Week and A Day in the Life of a Drop.

The Fix A Leak Week resources are a set of activities designed for students in grades 3-5 to help them learn about water supplies and the importance of saving water.

A Day in the Life of a Drop is a set of activities designed to help students in grades 3-5 understand the connections between the source of the water they use and the ways their water use habits affect the environment and human health. Although designed for an elementary school audience, these resources may be easily adapted for older students.
