Urban Stewards service-learning program gives 5th-12th grade students an opportunity to identify and address environmental issues in their own communities. Students investigate a local environmental issue that concerns them and they take action and engage with community members to address that issue. Teachers and Eco Education staff serve as facilitators who connect out-of-classroom experiences to the curriculum.
