Springbrook Nature Center offers a variety of year round opportunities to bring you closer to nature. Enjoy three miles of hiking trails through oak and aspen forests, past prairies and through wetlands with floating boardwalks. These trails provide an excellent opportunity for viewing native plants and animals.
Inside our Interpretive Center, get a close-up look at live snakes, frogs, fish and more, all of which are native to Minnesota. A variety of hands-on exhibits can also be found here.
In addition, we feature special events and birthday parties throughout the year. During the school year we are a vital component of Fridley Public School's environmental education for grades K-8. Environmental education programs are available for other school groups and community groups of all ages and abilities. Programs specifically designed for scout groups are offered regularly. Summer day-camp is offered June-August. Winter day-camp is offered during school winter break.
