SEMREX is dedicated to protecting the environment through regional Cooperative Marketing, Market Development strategies, and the Materials Exchange.

SEMREX operates a cooperative marketing program to assist recyclers, both public and private, in the marketing of their materials. Working together, SEMREX Cooperative Marketing members benefit by higher prices, time saved, faster turnover of materials, and improved marketability.

The SEMREX Materials Exchange promotes the reuse of materials from businesses and institutions, using a data base to match suppliers with users. The services of the SEMREX Materials Exchange is free to all businesses in the region.

SEMREX is comprised of businesses in southeast Minnesota and the following member counties: Blue Earth, Dodge, Freeborn, Mower, Olmsted, Rice, Steele, and Waseca.
