Self-Guided Interpretive Trail at Sugarloaf Cove

Description:

The Sugarloaf Interpretive Center offers a self-guided interpretive trail which is approximately one mile long, and rated as easy. Interpretation covers the cultural history of the site, and the geological and ecological significance of Sugarloaf Cove. Sugarloaf Cove is located 73 miles north of Duluth on Hwy 61, on the beautiful North Shore of Lake Superior. Trail guides are located in the mail box at the site; the trail is always open and free to use by the public. Guided hikes are available by contacting the SICA office.
