Description:

Lessons in a Land Ethic is an innovative, interdisciplinary, critical thinking-based curriculum founded in the writings of renowned conservationist Aldo Leopold. Using 21 lessons based on essays in Leopold's A Sand County Almanac, this curriculum teaches today's youngsters about humanity's ties to the natural world. Through creative and experiential learning, students develop a personal relationship to the land. This curriculum is time efficient for instructors and includes lesson objectives, vocabulary, lists of required materials, procedures, extensions and student worksheet pages for both outdoor and indoor activities.
