Free Milkweeds for Schools and Non-Profits
Post Date: September 11, 2019
Resource Type:
  • Grant | Funding
Description:

Monarchs and pollinators need help due to habitat loss. If your school or non-profit organization is interested in this conservation measure, Monarch Watch can help you create a habitat for monarchs and pollinators. If your organization qualifies, Monarch Watch will provide a free flat of 32 milkweed plugs as well as guidance on how to create a new habitat or enhance an existing garden.

Monarch Watch is a nonprofit educational outreach program based at the University of Kansas that focuses on the monarch butterfly, its habitat, and its spectacular fall migration.

The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) has provided funds for this project.
