Provide program administration including staff management, budget management and data tracking. Build relationships with funders, government, nonprofit and business entities. Promote partnering organizations and the YES program by attending conferences, seminars, meetings, and networking opportunities, as appropriate. Seek and write grants along with oversight of grants and reporting. Ensure major events are designed and implemented with the mission and vision of the program in mind. Coordinate youth-led teams as needed. Oversee communication efforts and the ongoing maintenance of the YES web site, facebook page and social media accounts.
Qualifications
Passion for environmental stewardship and experiential education
College degree preferred
Successful history of grant writing and reporting
Management experience
Experience working with youth in an educational setting preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to build relationships within a network of organizations, businesses, communities, and individuals
Sound understanding of sustainability topics including water quality and conservation, renewable energy, local foods, and waste reduction preferred
The position is based out of PWELC in Spicer, MN and may be worked remotely as authorized by the Executive Director.
Some regional and statewide travel is required with meals & mileage reimbursement allowance.
Compensation: Competitive salary with good benefits and semi-flexible schedule.
Grant Funded Position: This position is made possible through a grant from the Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund (ENRTF) and the University of Minnesota’s Institute on the Environment Project Funded by the National Science Foundation Grant 2147839. Grant funding is currently available through June 2025, with strong potential for continuation.

Part Time: 30+ hours per week
Hourly Pay Range: $24.50 - $28.00
