YES! Program Manager

Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center (PWELC)

Lead a team of dedicated professionals as the YES! Program Manager. This is a great opportunity to share your expertise and passion for the environment with youth across Minnesota. Responsibilities include program management, communications, building partnerships, along with grant seeking and reporting. Flexible hours.

About PWELC/YES!

PWELC, a nonprofit organization located near Spicer, Minnesota, provides outstanding environmental education and outdoor experiences to people of all ages. The YES! program empowers teams of youth to partner with their community in hands-on learning and meaningful projects related to water conservation and quality, energy efficiency, renewable energy, waste reduction, recycling, composting, local foods, and more. Duties

· Provide program management including staff hiring, training and support

· Budget management and data tracking

· Build relationships with government, nonprofit and business entities

· Seek and write grants along with oversight of grants and reporting

· Create a plan for long-term program funding

· Ensure major events are designed and implemented with the mission and vision of the program in mind

· Coordinate youth-led teams as needed

· Oversee communication efforts

Qualifications

· Passion for environmental stewardship and experiential education

· College degree preferred

· Successful history of grant writing and reporting

· Management experience

· Experience working with youth in an educational setting preferred

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Demonstrated ability to build relationships within a network of organizations, businesses, communities, and individuals

· Sound understanding of sustainability topics including water quality and conservation, renewable energy, local foods, and waste reduction preferred

Position based from PWELC near Spicer, MN. Some regional and statewide travel required with meals & mileage reimbursement allowance.

Compensation: Competitive salary with good benefits and flexible schedule.
