Job Description

The International Wolf Center seeks to advance the survival of wolf populations by teaching about wolves, their relationship to wildlands, and the human role in their future. We are a non-advocacy organization that focuses on science-based education about wolves. The goal of our internships is to give interns a strong background in wolf information and a wealth of experience sharing that information with the public. Internships are in our education department and do not involve hands-on work with our ambassador wolves. Please see our website for a full job description and application materials.

Summer interns are full-time (40+ hours/week) from May-August. Off-site housing and a $1,000.00 stiped are provided for summer interns. Interns are responsible for their own food and transportation.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct wolf education and natural history programs for the public and groups

• Teach large and small groups as well as answer wolf and natural history questions from visitors

• Lead interpretive hikes and field trips

• Assist in program development for people of all ages

• Respond to wolf information inquiries by phone and e-mail

• Create projects for the education department as assigned

• Other duties as assigned
