Salary range
Pay rate $13.16-15.63/hour
Minimum Qualifications
- High School graduate, or equivalent
- Education to include coursework equivalent to a year-long high school class in a natural science (such as biology, ecology, or environmental science) or in any combination of natural science topics
- Successful completion of a Background Check
- Preferred Experience
- Experience in outdoors, camping and working with school-age children is helpful. Naturalist Aide works in a team setting, demonstrating leadership skills while assisting Junior Assistant Naturalists, campers and Summer Naturalists in camp activities. Leading activities and working with children, some of whom may have special needs. Able to work and spend up to 85% of time outside during summer heat; which may include canoeing, biking and hiking.This is a temporary position for the 2020 summer season running June 15th to August 14th and including a mandatory training week. Naturalist Aides are expected to work 35-45 hours per week. Standard work hours are Monday-Friday, between 35-45 hours per week, up to 9 hours per day, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. On occasion, there may include additional opportunities on weekends.Megan Nysse, Summer Camp CoordinatorTamarack Nature CenterWhite Bear Township, MN 55110
