Salary range

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Sufficient to perform the duties.
Experience: Six months (1040 equivalent hours) as a Parks and Recreation Aide 1 or equivalent experience.
Certification/Licensure: Must have and maintain a valid class D driver's license.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in outdoors, camping and working with school-age children is helpful.
Additional Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
All job offers are conditioned on successful completion of a background check and being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a vaccine authorized for emergency use or FDA approved. Anyone hired after November 1, 2021 will be required to show proof of vaccination on or before their first day of employment and complete a form certifying that they are vaccinated. Duties and Responsibilities:
This position works in a team setting, demonstrating leadership skills while assisting Junior Assistant Naturalists, campers and Summer Naturalists in camp activities. Leading activities and working with children, some of whom may have special needs. Able to work and spend up to 85% of the time outside during summer heat; which may include canoeing, biking, and hiking.
Season and Time Commitment:
The 2022 summer season runs from June 13th to August 19th and includes a mandatory training week. All Summer Camp staff will be off without pay June 20th and July 4-8th. Standard work hours are Monday 8:30-6p, Tuesday–Thursday 9:30-6p and Friday 8-1p for up to 38 hours/week.
