Job Summary: The Adventures Summer Camp Coordinator is tasked with creating an inclusive environment for youth and families during Adventures Camp. The Adventures Summer Camp Coordinator will also engage parents, staff, and youth. Supervising staff, connecting with parents, and keeping youth safe for Nine (9) sessions this summer, starting June 9th through August 15th, 2025. Adventures Summer Camp will be focused on summertime outdoor activities such as mountain biking, canoeing, archery, group games, orienteering, and much more. Camp will run from 9:00 - 4:00 p.m. every day, with required set-up and tear-down.
The Adventure Camp Coordinator is responsible for the following:
- Promote a safe, engaging environment for all.
- Connect with staff, parents, and youth in a positive way
- Lead camp evaluation process with parents and staff
- Lead staff debriefs and team-building activities
- Hiring camp counselors
- Lead a team of summer camp staff
- Develop camp counselor's work schedules
Required Knowledge and Abilities:
- Organizational skills
- Communication skills
- Have a passion for outdoor adventure
- Previous youth development experience preferred
- Not afraid of working outside in various weather conditions
- Experience in mountain biking, canoeing, archery, group games, or orienteering is a plus
The Adventure Camp Coordinator reports to the Adventures Coordinator who reports to the Adventures Director. This is a seasonal hourly position that starts in mid May and ends in late August, with a schedule of 40 hours per week normally from Monday - Friday, 9 am - 4 pm. Hourly wages range from $20.00 - $21.00 per hour, depending on demonstrable experience.
