Job Description

Join the Wargo Nature Center as part of our recreational and environmental education team! You will spend beautiful summer days working with kids in the outdoors and teaching others how to paddle board, kayak, or fish. The Seasonal Summer Programming Assistant will play an integral role in our summer programs at the park and will take pride in helping teach outdoor environmental skills to diverse groups of park users.

  • Teach outdoor recreational activities such as kayaking, canoeing, stand-up paddle boarding and team building to adults, youth, and family groups.
  • Assist programming staff with instructing diverse groups about outdoor recreational and environmental education programs.
  • Load, transport and maintain recreational equipment including canoes, kayaks and trailers, paddles, Personal Flotation Devices (PFD) and paddle boards.
