Three Rivers Park District, in partnership with Scott County, is seeking to fill the position of Parks Wellness Programmer. This position coordinates and implements nature-based mental health and wellness programming for communities of color and low income in Scott County, MN as a part of a pre-determined grant program.
This is a temporary part-time, non-benefited (20 hours per week) position funded by a grant and is expected to last through June 2024.
Bachelor’s degree in outdoor recreation, education, public health, or related or equivalent fields AND two years of experience working in community outreach, outdoor/nature education, wellness activity facilitation OR any combination of education or experience equivalent to the above. Experience working with individuals and groups with multi-cultural backgrounds in an outdoor setting preferred. Working knowledge of and the ability to apply knowledge of current recreational trends, activities, and teaching techniques. Valid Minnesota Class D Driver's license required.
