Job Description |
Love teaching about animals? The Lake Superior Zoo in Duluth, Minnesota is searching for a full-time Outreach Programs Manager that can deliver dynamic programming that fosters empathy for animals and inspires conservation action. Candidates must possess strong teaching and speaking skills and a passion for saving wildlife and their habitats. The Outreach Programs Manager will be trained to work with our ambassador animals.
The Outreach Programs Manager develops and delivers outreach programs for diverse audiences such as schools, libraries, assisted living facilities, clubs, and community organizations. This position serves as the lead educator for zoomobiles, community events, and conservation projects. The Outreach Programs Manager also teaches onsite and virtual programs as needed. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and drive zoo vehicles on a regular basis. Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends.
