Job Description

POSITION OBJECTIVE

This temporary position will be asked to conduct nature center programs, aid in care of captive animals, develop curriculum, and present programs onsite, offsite and virtually.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Develop, conduct, and market environmental education curricula & programs.
  2. Support volunteers as assigned.
  3. Help to maintain exhibit animals including reptiles, amphibians, and insects.
  4. Receipt and handle monies from nature center store and program registration.
  5. Organize and lead a variety of small group activities as developed by the Springbrook staff.  Activities may include hiking, nature explorations, crafts, games, archery, stream and pond hikes, and art and drama activities.
  6. Complete other assigned operational tasks before and after programs such as clean up and room preparation.
  7. Provide fun and engaging activities outdoors.
  8. Respond to inquiries by telephone, email and in person concerning a broad spectrum of natural resource information.
  9. Community event planning and implementation.
  10. Other duties as assigned.
