Job Title: Naturalist Programmer
Opening/Closing Time: March 2 – March 24, 2022
Salary: $19.00 – $24.00/hr
Job Type: Part-Time

Primary Objective of Position:
Provide nature and recreation programming at the nature center and in the community. Increase the public's awareness, appreciation and understanding of the natural world. Create and deliver programming to underserved populations. Work to meet the educational and customer service needs of visitors to Westwood Hills Nature Center.
This position will work up to 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in biology, outdoor education, education or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience teaching as a naturalist at a nature center or similar facility.
- Must be physically able to perform all essential duties of the position.
- Ability to work with children of all ages.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with people from all cultures and backgrounds in order to achieve the city's strategic objectives for racial equity.
- Ability to work effectively, with minimal supervision, and in a group setting.
- Ability to work a variety of hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
