2025-26 Preschool Teacher

Job Posting Title: Lead Preschool Teacher

Reports to: Preschool Director

Status: Regular part-time

Classification: Non-exempt Term: School year (mid-August through May) - with opportunities for summer employment

Position Summary: Hartley Nature Preschool is looking to hire a lead preschool teacher who will be part of the teaching team fulfilling the school’s mission of inspiring life-long connections with nature through education, play, and exploration while supporting the whole child’s development. Hartley Nature Preschool operates as a program of Hartley Nature Center, a non-profit environmental learning center located within the 600+ acre Hartley Park in Duluth, Minnesota.

Position Details:

● Schedule: ○ Monday/Wednesday full day class, Forest Fridays morning class, Friday afternoon staff meetings ○ See job description for details

● Hourly Wage: $18.21/hour

● Benefits include paid vacation and sick time; flexible summer and school break employment opportunities; priority registration for preschool and camp programs; discounts on preschool and camp programs
