Primary Areas of Responsibility
Strategy & Planning — Provide strategic direction and a strong vision for the organization to guide the work in the long-term and in the day-to-day implementation of programming; lead the organization’s efforts in centering anti-racism and systemic equity; support and develop organizational leadership and empower staff, Board and stakeholders to fulfill our mission.
Board Governance & Financial Oversight — Advise and provide information and insights to the Board of Directors to engage them and support strong governance and oversight; ensure support for Board and committees to advance organizational goals; create and monitor the annual budget; ensure legal and financial compliance.
Development & External Relations — In collaboration with the Senior Director of Development, Marketing and Communications provide thoughtful and creative leadership to achieve fundraising and communications goals; develop new, and strengthen existing, relationships with donors and stakeholders; serve as a primary face and voice of Climate Generation to increase impact and visibility.
Programming — In collaboration with the Senior Director of Programs provide thoughtful and creative leadership to achieve programmatic goals; lead organizational decision-making and strategic response to organizational and sector challenges; support the development and effective implementation of Climate Generation’s policy agenda.
Operations — Ensure organizational culture and processes align with organizational commitment to addressing systemic equity and anti-racism; guide internal systems and processes that nurture cross-functional teams that operate effectively and efficiently; seek opportunities to grow professionally and encourage professional development of staff; sustain a healthy and equitable work environment.
