Join our Evaluation & Research in Learning team as an Administrative Coordinator. This position provides administrative support for the department and involves planning, organizing and coordination of projects while managing day-to-day activities. A high level of organization and detail orientation is required, as well as the ability to manage multiple deadlines, be proactive and efficient, work with little supervision, handle shifting priorities, and interface inside and outside the organization with a high level of professionalism.

Work Environment: Collaborative office setting.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to members of the Department of Evaluation & Research in Learning including travel and conference coordination; meeting scheduling, note taking, and preparation; data collection scheduling; and various internal and external communication activities.
  • Coordinate logistical support for large departmental research and evaluation projects.
  • Assist with study recruitment, enrollment, scheduling, obtaining informed consent, and communication with study subjects.
  • Support the departmental budget and forecasting processes by gathering and organizing information and data.
  • Coordinate contract development, tracking, and project invoicing.
  • Create purchase orders, pay invoices, and perform expense reconciliation.
  • Maintain technology and software the department uses for research and evaluation studies.
  • Purchase departmental supplies and materials.
  • Assist and greet outside colleagues, researchers, visitors, and other audiences as needed.
  • Enter, manage, and pull database information as assigned.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma / GED.
  • Previous administrative experience supporting a complex department or equivalent (e.g. a small group of staff).
  • Applied experience using Microsoft Office and G Suite (Google).
  • Demonstrated ability to be attentive to details, stay organized, manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities, independently solve problems, and communicate effectively with various audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Applicants with a passion for/interest in science, education, evaluation, and/or research.
  • Cultural competency and experience working with diverse communities.
  • Willingness to be open and respectful of all backgrounds.
  • Fluency in language(s) other than English valued (Hmong, Somali, Spanish).
The closing date for this position is Monday, March 9, 2020 at 11:59pm (CST).  

Starting Pay Rate: $19.23 USD or more per hour / Depending on Qualifications.
