Job Description

 

Status:                  Part Time, 4 hours/week

Time:                    Start January, end March, potential for more programs past March.
Optional: teach February camp (February 15-19)

 

The Environmental Educator will join a friendly, dynamic staff that is dedicated to carrying out Hartley Nature Center’s mission of inspiring lifelong connections with nature through education, play and exploration.

Duties:

  • Develop developmentally appropriate, child-centered programming for a weekly nature play based program
  • Programs run 10a-12p or 1-3p on Wednesdays

 

Qualifications:

  • Current certification in First Aid and CPR, or willingness to complete
  • Experience teaching environmental education or outdoor recreation
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to relate with people of all ages and abilities in a positive manner
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
