The International Wolf Center seeks to advance the survival of wolf populations by teaching about wolves, their relationship to wildlands, and the human role in their future. We are a non-advocacy organization that focuses on science-based education about wolves. The goal of our internships is to give interns a strong background in wolf information and a wealth of experience sharing that information with the public. Internships are in our education department and do not involve hands-on work with our ambassador wolves. Please see our website for a full job description and application materials.
Academic year interns are full-time (40+ hours/week) from August-August of the following year. Academic year interns receive a $2,000.00 per month stipend and are responsible for their own food, transportation and housing.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct wolf education and natural history programs for the public and groups
• Teach large and small groups as well as answer wolf and natural history questions from visitors
• Lead interpretive hikes and field trips
• Assist in program development for people of all ages
