Description

Hamline's Natural Science and Environmental Education program is offering a field study course next January to Baja Mexico, where we will assist researchers in whale monitoring and other marine ecology field work. This course is hosted by Hamline's Study away office,  and runs Jan 12-20.  The class is open to everyone  18+ and includes 8 days of beach lodging, field biology, behavioral observation and acoustic monitoring of Gray and Humpback whales. It is designed for those who work in education settings but is also appropriate for anyone with an interest in sustainability, the environment, and of course, whales. The cost for the course is all-inclusive: airfare to and from the field site, lodging, and food are all included.

Here's a blog post about the whales, the research, and the project from our partner Ecology Project International, who is organizing the logistics and managing the trip for Hamline.

If you want more details about the course, click this link  or just send me a note at pselly01@hamline.edu. I would love to have you join this class!!!
