This course will incorporate the North Woods, Great Lakes MN Master Naturalist Curriculum (http://www.minnesotamasternaturalist.org/) into a freshmen-level college field biology course. Field trips will take place during class time primarily in northern Anoka county. All students will participate in a minimum of 10 hours of service-learning outside of classroom time. Capstone projects will be chosen in consultation with the instructor and within the theme of the course.
