The Master Naturalist Program, Big Woods, Big Rivers is a volunteer program that trains adults about Minnesota's natural resources, provides pathways for volunteers to do conservation projects, and encourages ongoing stewardship of the environment. The course focuses on the Big Woods, Big Rivers Biome which runs diagonally across Minnesota from the Northwest to the Southeast.
During this course, students explore Geology, plant and animal life, water in the landscape, and human interaction, all of which make up the ecology of the region.
